Baby Crying in Hotel Room Gets a Warning? Carrie Hope Fletcher's Shocking Story (2026)

Imagine this: a mother on vacation with her young child receives a warning from hotel security for the innocent act of her baby crying. This is precisely what happened to British influencer Carrie Hope Fletcher, who has taken to social media to express her disbelief over the situation.

Fletcher, who has had an impressive career in the arts since her West End debut at just seven years old, recently enjoyed a stint in the 2025 production of Elf, alongside her husband, Joel Montague. Their family decided to visit Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida, hoping for a fun getaway. However, the trip took an uncomfortable turn right from the beginning.

On their first night at the Hard Rock Hotel, things went awry when their 22-month-old daughter, Mabel, woke up at 3:30 a.m. She was jetlagged, disoriented, and feeling a bit unwell. As any exhausted parents would do, Carrie and Joel tried their best to soothe her cries. To their shock, a hotel security guard knocked on their door to issue what was described as a ‘first warning’ about the noise.

In her Instagram story, Carrie revealed her frustration: "Note to self: Despite the teddy bears and kids' clothes in the gift shop and the inflatable guitar they gave Mabel upon arrival… Hard Rock Hotel, Orlando is not a family resort." She further elaborated that while they were doing everything possible to calm Mabel, they received this unexpected and perplexing warning.

Carrie humorously questioned, "What would have happened if Mabel hadn’t calmed down? Would there have been second or third warnings? Would we have faced eviction from the hotel with a toddler in tow?" She reflected on how such actions seemed contrary to the spirit of a family-friendly environment, jokingly noting, "Not very ‘hard rock’ to issue a noise complaint to a toddler."

Fortunately, Mabel settled down soon after, allowing Carrie to resume her thoughts on the incident. Despite this rocky start, it appears the family has managed to make the most of their vacation, sharing joyful moments on social media since then.

BuzzFeed has reached out to the Hard Rock Hotel, Orlando, for their perspective on this incident.
